MEET THE TEAM

Stephanie
I have practiced yoga for 6 years.
Some things I love most about teaching are:
Helping others realize their own capabilities.
Watching students work hard in their practice and grow, and find a personal love for yoga.
Teaching has helped me to love others more authentically.
Yoga has helped me to have a healthy outlet.
I have better control with how I react to the world around me.
I’ve become more of my authentic self.
Yoga has helped to me gain strength and confidence.

Anna
I’ve practiced yoga since early 2023.
What I love most about teaching at Shanti is the magic of the individual practice in a
collective setting, the feeling of being in flow with others, and the ability to provide the support and guidance to students that I am so lucky to receive from my teacher.

While the asana practice has helped me gain strength, confidence, dedication, and
resilience, yoga philosophy has helped me see that the transformation yoga brings is
also deeper than the physical. Yoga has given me a practice that helps me progress towards inner peace.

McLain
I love teaching yoga because I get to share the joy yoga brings me, to others. Yoga has taught me to trust myself, take chances, and never give up. To work hard and push myself, but to also remain soft and surrender when the body and mind call for it. Yoga has brought balance to my life, navigating between effort and ease.
Yoga has helped me stay present, calm and mindful no matter what life throws my way. It has also helped me gain flexibility and strength, physically but also mentally. I am so grateful for the yoga practice and thankful I get to share it with others!

Virginia
Virginia was born and raised here in Myrtle Beach, and like many others, she practiced yoga sporadically for years, until she found a studio & teacher that just...fit. She learned the physical and mental benefits of a dedicated & well rounded practice. Fell in love with Shanti Yoga & hasn't looked back since. She's a dog mom and lover of the ocean!

Emily
Emily began practicing at Shanti in 2022 and quickly fell in love with Vinyasa yoga and the joy of becoming a student again after completing her degree at Coastal Carolina University. What began as a physical practice soon became a source of grounding, connection, and support. Inspired by the way yoga helped her feel safe, seen, and empowered, Emily felt called to share that same experience with others. She earned her certifications in Vinyasa and Yin yoga in 2025 with Sissy Castillo and teaches with the intention of creating a welcoming, supportive space for all.

Danielle
The practice of yoga has called my name for years, and became an integral part of my life during my undergrad at CCU. Now, it is something deeply rooted in my everyday life. I have studied asana instruction and yogis philosophy under a diverse range of instructors, and participate in a weekly philosophy sangha (community) as my commitment to being a lifelong learner.
