Schedule:

FRIDAY 8/8 5-7 pm: Pranayama Worksop

Pranayama, the art of conscious breath control, plays a significant role in Ashtanga Voga. Pranayama workshops provide a dedicated space for practitioners to deepen their understanding and experience of breathwork techniques These workshops often cover a range of pranayama practices, including Ujayi Breath, Kapalabhati Breath, and Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing). Through guided instruction, participants lear to regulate and expand their breath, influencing the body's energy channels and promoting mental clarity and relaxation.
Pranayama workshops offer valuable insights into harnessing the power of breath, enhancing the overall benefits of Ashtanga Yoga practice, and cultivating a harmonious balance between the body and mind.

SATURDAY 8/9, 9-11 AM: Led Primary Series

TEACHER TRAININGS

200 Hour RYT training is a special program, near and dear to our community of yogis. Contact us to learn more about how you can begin your journey.

"I have been deeply impacted, physically, spiritually, and psychologically, by the experience of my 200-hour yoga teacher training with Sissy Castillo at Shanti Yoga. The sustained commitment to getting on my mat every day has

shown me that I am stronger than I have believed myself to be for a long time—more resilient than my excuses, more capable than my limiting beliefs and negative self-talk. I have learned that I do not have to be perfect to be worthy. I have become more self-assured and confident, less afraid of sitting with stillness and listening to what my body and core self knows, and more comfortable setting boundaries. In short, I have become more of the person I want to be over the past 9 months, and this training has been among the most meaningful experiences of my life."  -Anna M., class of 2024

"There is so much YTT has already done for me! The one I want to start with is that it’s taught me how to let go. Let go of anything you can think of that isn’t serving us. Through my physical practice I’ve squeezed and twisted every muscle so it could relax and let go of what's it been keeping. Through my mental work, my morning practice, I’ve found stillness so I could think and declutter my mind and therefore my life as well so I could take clearer action in my day-to-day life. Now, things I gave my thoughts and energy to, I understand has no significance. Nothing can be measured with peace and the contentment I’ve gotten to understand through this YTT." Nita F., class of 2024
